Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
First few years are pretty linear I believe then after that it splits into different roles and how valuable you are. As a grad I havent had much thought towards this.

Each year they give you more responsibilities i.e client contacts and more complex jobs - build you up to wherever you would like to go

There seems to be a progressive career path if you work hard and do a good job

If you want to move up the ranks within the company you just have to stay within your firm and take up growth opportunities as they rise, for example becoming a buddy, growing knowledge and expertise working on different projects etc. The company also knows that a lot of people will move on from the firm eventually and are happy to help you grow and step in the right direction for you in the future.

There seems to be a set process which is good to strive for over time

I want to move departments but they don't take grads so i've got to do my time here first. Progression seems pretty good, my seniors are aware of my ambition it seems like I'll get there so that's promising. Not a guarantee tho, may be strung along for a while

Great learning, great future prospects, annual role/remuneration reviews

BDO has plenty of opportunities for progression. I think one thing that could be done better would be to have reviews based on how well you are performing if you deserve a pay rise or position advancement before the annual review. This means that it can be a long wait until you have a pay rise/advancement.
