What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
As a grad I cant really dictate much, I know grads at other jobs get quite a bit more but as a first year its difficult to quantify any more and we get provided with a lot of free stuff so I cant complain

I'm not too fussed about pay
Graduate, Christchurch
I believe the current pay is pretty low - there has been no adjustments for inflation or rising minimum wage, and could be earning more money in most other jobs
Graduate, Christchurch
we don't have bonuses and we are getting paid less than the graduate who is starting their role in 2024(hopefully we will be able to get quite a boost after November review with directors and managers)
Graduate, Christchurch
The pay is relatively on the lower expectations of the industry however the work-life balance and company culture is much greater so I believe that this compensates for this.
Graduate, Christchurch
More communication around it would be helpful

Not great. Could be more, reasonable competitive with other companies but still a bit lower.
Graduate, Christchurch
No bonuses that I'm aware of. No overtime pay. Low starting salary.

It's market rate or on the higher end of market rate? However, graduate salary just feels low for living in Auckland, would like more to be comfortable. Am unsure on bonuses.

The pay is fair for what you do at this stage of your career and the knowledge and skills you have. Having said that, you have to wait a long time until you get a pay rise which is not the best, particularly if you are performing much better than you were at the beginning.

I think that the graduate salary is quite low. Currently I am forced to work a second job in order to pay my monthly bills. While I understand that you have to start off low, it seems slightly ridiculous that someone has to work 2 jobs just to survive. Additionally, I am not paid a bonus and I was not given any form of pay bump in my first performance review after 6 months of work.

Standard for a grad.

I understand I am still new to the company, but my salary is holding me back in other aspects of my life (buying a house, as salary doesn't cover mortgage payments)
Graduate, Christchurch
I think as a graduate in todays world, the pay could be a bit higher, a lot of places nowadays offer a decent salary for graduates.
Graduate, Auckland
It's as expected for someone at my level

Pay can be improved for the amount of effort required to put into the job. Also the cost of living is incredibly high especially when compared to when I started and I feel as though my pay does not reflect this at all
Graduate, Auckland
Doesn't feel like our salary is keeping up with the cost of living or even the companies increases to the charge out rates
Graduate, Auckland
Pay should be a little bit higher!

It doesn't feel like there are a lot of perks. The budget lunches are great.
Graduate, Auckland
There are plenty of lunches and dinners or team events which provide food. For somebody like me who loves food this is a really good perk!
Graduate, Auckland
Our team were made aware last week of free dinner and ubers if you work past 8pm and 10pm respectively. In our team we go out for quarterly dinners, and there are christmas functions at the end of the year.
