We have a GOOD CHAT talk today for which Will and I will be the representatives of the Gen Z panel. Looking forward to explaining memes and Tiktok culture to our Boomer, Gen X, and Gen Y coworkers!

7.15 AM

I set my alarm for 7.15 am. I often try to get a few more minutes of shut eye while trying to visualize my fit for the day before getting out of bed at 7.30am. I make my bed, do my morning self-care, and play with my puppies to give me my daily boost of serotonin.

Dogs

I grab my salmon salad that I made last night from the fridge and my iconic Minecraft water bottle and kiss the doggos goodbye.

Grab a coffee on the way and arrive at the Melbourne Capgemini office with Will to check our emails for the day. Bummed that our in-office barista isn’t in this week but looking forward to having him back next week. We have a GOOD CHAT talk today for which Will and I will be the representatives of the Gen Z panel. Looking forward to explaining memes and Tiktok culture to our Boomer, Gen X, and Gen Y coworkers! Time to make a to-do list and a list of questions to ask them.

Coffee

10.17 AM

Is it to early to get a second coffee? And when should we take lunch?
I’m leading this year’s Women@Capgemini Month initiative and have made updates to our project communication plans reflecting what the team discussed yesterday. The initiative will be taking place throughout August, so I’m sending out the communication plan update to the rest of the team.

12.00 PM

Welcome to the GOOD CHAT with your favourite Gen Z’s on the panel for “Help me understand the Gen Z in my Life!”, hosted by the legendary Jan and James. Not only did we talk about the generational slang, inside jokes, and viral trends, but we also had a chat about what Gen Z looks for in the workplace, in leaders, teams, in work, and of course in life. We shared what we’ve learnt in our years growing up in the tech generation and how that’s shaped our daily lives and values.

Meeting

1.00 PM

Time to refuel my brain, grab a bite for lunch and go for a walk! Easy 10,000 steps. Also realized Will and I apparently share the same wardrobe and took a fit pic to share.

Elevator

2.30 PM

I was just asked to lend a helping hand on a visionary workshop for a client engagement and had a briefing to get a better understanding of where we are in the process and what is expected of me by when. Looks like I’ll be facilitating some ice breakers (I love hearing random fun facts about people) and an introduction to Miro to help kickstart the 2-hour session next week.

3.30 PM

Met a recent graduate of Business Technology over a call and she gave me a super warm welcome to the team, offering any support if I needed it.

5.30 PM

I’ve been looking forward to this. LATERS. I’m off to listen to BLACKPINK’s Lisa on the way home and hit the gym with 88Rising blasting through my earphones.
