Our programme

The HGP as an 18-month accelerated career development programme designed to grow our leaders of the future.  Made up of four “assignments”, the programme will give you exposure to the inner workings of our Sales and Marketing teams.  You’ll get to work on key programmes of work that aim to enhance our brand presence, grow our market and volume share, boost customer and consumer experiences, and bring new products to life. 

With a comprehensive induction plan, extensive functional learning and mentoring from one of our senior leaders, you’ll move through the programme with a clear curriculum and meaningful projects designed to grow your capability and prepare you for a career with HEINEKEN.  Then, at the end of the programme, you’ll “land” in a permanent middle management position at DB where you’ll get to apply all that you’ve learned.

Our ideal person

If you take pride in your work, are great at interpreting/presenting information, and demonstrate learning agility, resilience, flexibility and agility, you’re part-way there!  You’ll also need:

  • New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
  • A degree level qualification with a technology major.
  • No more than two years of professional work experience in your chosen discipline (excluding voluntary work and internships).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • To base yourself in Auckland but have the flexibility to relocate within New Zealand or the Asia Pacific region for one of your assignments (relocation costs will be covered by DB).
