About Harrison Grierson

Harrison Grierson is widely regarded as one of the leading engineering and design consultancies in New Zealand. The company began trading in 1885 when architect John William Harrison set up practice in Auckland, New Zealand. He was later joined in partnership by surveyor Charles Kirkpatrick Grierson in 1912. Today, Harrison Grierson is a large advisory and design consultancy working in four key market sectors; Land and Buildings, Water and the Environment, Utilities, and Transport.

Culture & vibe

Earlier in the year, Harrison Grierson got behind the Diversity Agenda – an industry-wide campaign with one common goal: 20 percent more women engineers and architects by 2021. The Diversity Agenda started as a collaboration between Engineering New Zealand, the New Zealand Institute of Architects (NZIA), and the Association of Consulting Engineers (ACENZ). Harrison Grierson is a Founding Partner of the initiative. The Diversity Agenda works by encouraging organizations to commit to adopting more inclusive practices. Read more.
