Working Hours at Jarden

7.9
7.9 rating for Working Hours, based on 9 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
The hours are challenging at times but I have had numerous occasions where team members have told me to take the night off because we have been working particularly hard lately, or to enjoy time outside if there are no tasks to complete. These messages have come from the VP level to the MD level, and so it is nice to hear senior members of the team are conscious of the level of work we put in.

The hours can be tough, but very standard across the investment banking industry.

Only need to work when you have work to do, so flexibility to head home early if nothing on.

As an analyst in investment banking, the steep learning curve proves to present challenges within the context of a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, considering the nature of the job, the skill of effective prioritisation becomes paramount in managing both daily workloads and achieving a healthy work-life balance. Nevertheless, in the face of these obstacles, the personal growth derived from such a dynamic learning environment remains unparalleled and immensely rewarding.

Hours are generally okay because the only instances where you work very late are when there is something important that is due the next day - this tends to be the more exciting work so the late work does not feel like a burden. The floor is very good at ensuring you get out of the office as soon as you can when work is done, which reduces the perception of a facetime requirement. Would also say the need to work late is very much determined by whether it is a live client engagement or some idea generation.
