The Kraft Heinz story

In 2015, our company merged with Kraft Foods Group and Heinz. The power of these two companies coming together created a food industry leviathan with a commanding grip on the beverage, convenience food, dairy food, and snack food industries. Today, Kraft Heinz is one of the world's largest food and beverage companies, with a diverse portfolio of iconic and emerging brands. We have offices and sites in over forty countries, and our employees are innovators thinkers and committed to making life delicious.

New Zealand’s famous brand, Wattie’s, was purchased by the H.J. Heinz company in 1992. Wattie’s began in 1934 when Jim Wattie and his friend Harold Carr formed their small operation called J. Watties Canneries Ltd. The company began supplying pulped fruit from gooseberries, plums and peaches to be made into jam, which later led to the canning of peaches and pears.

The culture & the vibe of the place

At Kraft Heinz, our commitment to inclusion, diversity, and equality contributes to a better future and we continue to create a culture in which people are free to be themselves and accept their coworkers as they are. To get an inside peek into the culture at Kraft Heinz, read the ‘Day in the life of’ article below.

Along with the perfect blend of in-office and remote work, Kraft Heinz has a hybrid work model, allowing employees to choose their adventure. With a workforce that is diverse in terms of race, ethnicity, gender identity, and age, Kraft Heinz values inclusivity and diversity, which is reflected in its hiring practices and office policies.

Kraft Heinz has recently been recognized in Australia as a Skilled Workplace for Mental Health First Aid. This achievement demonstrates Kraft Heinz's clear, committed action to ensure our work provides an environment that protects and enhances our employees' mental health.
