Recruitment Process

Apply Online

The first time you apply for a job with us you will need to create a profile on our applicant tracking system. We will then ask a series of short questions with the graduate/intern online application form (e.g. work experience, study field, lived experiences, stream/s you want to apply against). We will not need you to upload a cover letter or resume.

Applications will be open for around 4 weeks to give all students enough time to join us for one of own online hosted employer sessions. 

In your application, you can apply for any of the streams below that suit your interests and skills (you can apply for multiple streams all in the same application).

Screening Talent

When our advert closes we are very quick to begin screening all applications that are submitted. If you are a candidate that is longlisted for our graduate roles, we will reach out to you to begin online testing. 

If you aren't selected, we will let you know via email and suggest you opt-in for job alerts where you can see when new roles are advertised.

Online testing

This is where we ask our longlist of candidates a series of situational judgement questions in addition to a cognitive test to understand how you would respond to various scenarios that may take place on the job.

Video interviewing 

Dive into analysing a policy proposal or challenge with our online video interview and written assessment, designed to test your analytical abilities and see if you enjoy the type of work our graduate analysts do.

Assessment centre (covid pending)

Whilst we take you through a range of activities, including a panel interview with managers and a group exercise, you will get the opportunity to take an inside look at our culture and environment and decide whether Treasury is the right fit for you.

We aim to make all of our offers within 7 days of the assessment centre!
