Our postgraduate certificate has two specialisations. The specialisation will prepare you to work for communities as an intercultural communicator in public service settings. In situations that range from health to disaster management scenarios, you will learn the theories, techniques and professional ethics required to translate public service information. This may involve ad hoc interpreting. If you wish to translate professionally in increasingly technical environments, including those that provide digital content, the specialisation in is for you. You will use computer-aided translation tools to boost your productivity. Course structure

This is a 60-point programme consisting of two 30-point courses. You can complete your two courses either full-time in one semester or part-time over two semesters, depending on the availability of the courses for your chosen specialisation.
