Everyday is not the same, some days are spent on self-development, others are spent creating a demo for colleague/customer. You also have the opportunity to work on projects as well, although these sometimes get put on hold if other things come up.

This covers tuning services to perform optimally, maintenance of ETL tasks, installing, upgrading, patching software. Reporting, analytics, troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, responding to log errors, monitoring, providing recommendations, database maintenance, backup/restore, provisioning and managing cloud services relating to client GIS.

I would like some more jobs and responsibilities as sometimes I feel like I'm just filling in time with training.

(By the time I've finish writing this, I've switched to a different team as part of the graduate programme). In Technical Solutions, it varies from day to day. Generally, my day to day responsibilities in this team is to work on projects presented by our clients and what customer opportunities we have with the different apps. This includes create and finishing up a project (with multiple ArcGIS applications) and doing a demonstration with a particular client off-site. Besides this, each graduate have one project that they will work on that is based on their passion (after the intensive GIS six-weeks training at the start of the programme). Most of my role has been similar to an assistant to my colleagues who've been here longer, but a few of the projects has been self-led, which was a great challenge that I've endured.

My role involves the presentation and advice on technical capabilities of our geospatial tools. As well as understanding the business drivers to why the client is looking for the a solution in the first place. My day to day would be preparing technical demonstrations for clients or for wider webinars and presenting them. As well as meeting with clients regularly to understand their business.
