Our training started with a week with a professional trainer Rob Farmer, who is one of the most experienced trainers on the street. Since then, we have had multiple learning sessions with MDs to learn about their careers and make them more familiar faces. This has been supported by lots of 'Lunch and Learn' sessions that the entire floor can participate in to help learn about different concepts. Finally, we were privileged to fly to Auckland to be re-introduced to the Auckland team and have a mid-year review with Rob. This was a great experience and helped us grow closer as a cohort.

The training is fantastic. After two weeks of technical and cultural training at the commencement of the year in Sydney, we got to travel to our Auckland office in June/July for 2 weeks of technical training. After already having some experience on the job, the further mid-year technical training was really valuable. The Auckland trip was also great as we really got to unplug from our home office and get to bond as a grad cohort. There is also very regular "teach-in" sessions hosted by our colleagues throughout the year. I have been able to pick-up skills through these formal training sessions, as well as on the job.

Many opportunities to engage in formal training since starting, on the job training is everyday and is more organic / adhoc

Jarden has been great at getting its graduate bankers to partake in training (offshore and domestically)

Lots of training and development sessions that are both schedules in the year specifically for grads. In addition run frequent teach ins on a range of topics which are very useful.

Training and development is fantastic - great informal and formal opportunities on an ongoing basis

Training has been great - the formal program helped us learn to build DCF models, merger models, leverage and ratings analysis, as well as the common issues that are experienced by bankers in the job. The international experience was great too. The informal training was also very beneficial - the team is very good at taking the time to explain things clearly, in detail, until you fully understand, so that you can add value on that specific task in the future. Our teach-in program, where we get internal and external parties to come and brief us on a matter or a concept is great as it provides you with training outside the direct scope of your day to day job, as well as provides exposure to other professionals across the industry (eg. lawyers)
