Diversity at Theta

8.3
8.3 rating for Diversity, based on 8 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
There is diversity, but I think more effort could be made in this space when compared to other companies I have worked for.

Very diverse company - no judgements made - diversity heavily encouraged and sought after

I think that Theta does consider gender diversity during their hiring process. Of the last 4 members recruited into the team, 2 would identify as female. They also pride themselves on their ethnic diversity, they conduct a yearly survey to update their nationality counts. Theta is very understanding in all matters of maternity leave/child care.

The company often celebrates their cultural diversity and from what I can tell, there is a reasonable number of women in leadership roles.

Theta seems to place a focus on getting more women and ethnic minorities in tech, so that seems good. I have not seen any commitments to other aspects of diversity, and I have not looked into issues around maternity leave, so I cannot comment on that.

They are very friendly to women. My colleague had Covid, and the company actively applied for sick leave for her to come back to work after she recovered.
