Manager is very relaxed and will always put your best interests first

My manager works in the office every day and encourages the team to also work in the office as much as possible to increase collaboration, work productivity, learning/teaching/mentoring between team members and the overall team culture. Even though my manager has a lifetime of experience, they acknowledge they are still learning new things every day and isn't afraid or ashamed to ask a younger or a less experienced person for help and advice. As a result, I am able to communicate openly and honestly with my manager and others in my team. I can always ask my manager and others questions or feedback. My manager also gives me praise and recognition when I do a good job.

Very accessible, he is a good mentor, and I learned a lot from him. He gave me enough feedback and praise, and my work has been always recognized.
Graduate, Wellington
Good communication and feedback, could do with a bit more support at times

Managers are very personable

My line manager is usually easily accessible as we work in an open office layout. This means I can just rock up to their desk and talk to them if need be. They do check ups time to time to make sure I have the help I need if I require it. I have yet to receive performance feedback.

My team lead is great. They are organised, friendly and actually care for their team. The higher ups I'm a bit unsure about as they should be providing us with more work but don't really (I understand we are in a global recession, so clients aren't spending).

Most managers are incredibly accessible and actively involve themselves in the progression of their sta? as well as ensuring sta? have the tools and resources to complete the job. Feedback is typically provided through open conversations. WSP also has an internal system used to recognize projects and people that have excelled and puts them in the draw for micro-bonuses on a monthly basis.

My workgroup manager is fantastic. Very approachable and open with communication. I feel very comfortable talking with them and seeking advice and feedback. They give me nice praise and recognition for my hard work. The business manager gives no feedback on performance and doesn't provide any internal communication on other aspects.

Relatively good. Very good mentors. Internal communication is professional but also friendly. Praise and recognition is good.
