Cultural & Linguistic Diversity at Transpower

Our people reflect 28 different nationalities meaning there is always something new to learn and celebrate at Transpower.

To fully realise New Zealand’s sustainable energy future the sector must improve its diversity of thinking, perspective, skills and background,” Alison Andrew, Chief Executive.

Our people reflect 28 different nationalities meaning there is always something new to learn and celebrate at Transpower - be it Chinese New Year, Diwali, Matariki, Ramadan or Easter. Our ‘First Friday’ social events, held every month and hosted by a different team each time, is a fantastic way to showcase our diversity and bring people together.

Our Communities of Transpower play an important role in helping staff to make connections. It also helps raise awareness and understanding of the rich diversity of people, that is Transpower.

Communities include the Kia Ora New Zealand community for new arrivals; the Muslim Community; and the Whanaungatanga Community.
