Our Graduate Development Programme is committed to providing a great foundation where you’ll be trained, supported, and mentored along with providing exciting challenges for you to reach your full potential. You will work with passionate members of the Contact Energy team who are excited to share their knowledge of the energy industry with you, we can guarantee no two days will be the same!

The Graduate Development Programme commences in February 2025 and is an 18-month rotational programme. At the conclusion of the programme, you will transition into a permanent role within our Electrical Engineering – Controls & Instrumentation team.

As an electrical engineering graduate based at our Geothermal Generation Site in Taupo, you will:

• Collaborate with our experienced engineers and teams to design, maintain, and upgrade our plant capability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Gain hands-on experience in executing maintenance and project work on our instrumentation, control, and protection systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and enhance system efficiency.
• Contribute to projects that impact our customers, the environment, and the energy industry.
